A site chock full of great information about Taiwan. The forums, picture page and articles are well written and informative. The forums are also an excellent place to ask questions to a friendly and knowledgeable group. Their links page is particularly extensive.

This is likely the most visited site for ex-pats in Taiwan. The forums are extensive, detailed and they seem to have a category for every interest!

THE center for teaching ESL (English as a second language). The individual country forum for Taiwan is a good place to ask questions, however they tend to be overly negative.
Carrie Marshall's Blog- The life of a teacher in Asia
Carrie is currently a Reach To Teach teacher in Taiwan. Previously, she taught for three years in Mainland China. Her blog is insightful and a very good read!

Another informational site. They have events for foreigners every so often.
Lonely Planet
The King of all travel sites. Most people don't leave Taiwan for another country in Asia without a handy "LP" by their side.
